Hello,
This week we moved into a new year and a new year brings hope. The hope of newer circumstances, new opportunities, and a better world. We often wait until the new year to have this hope. However, Hope at any time of the year has always been possible due to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Moroni wrote in Ether 12:4
Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
Since the Atonement of Christ, hope has NEVER been out of our reach. Christ came and overcame spiritual and temporal death, both affects of the fall of Adam. In doing so he gave hope to all mankind. It was no wonder that at his birth that all of the hosts of heaven praised God saying “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
As missionaries, you have both the sacred responsibility and the great privilege of spreading this Good News and hope to those you serve. What a wonderful time in your life!
Don’t ever forget the love and faith our Heavenly Father has for you.
